- Renewing it

The five-year figure is the certification's validity period. What your jurisdiction requires to recertify is a separate question and ServSafe explicitly hands it to your local regulator.

- Domain weighting
- Not published by ServSafe. - Unscored questions
- Not published by ServSafe. The Examinee Handbook does not state whether any of the 90 questions are unscored pilot items, so we make no claim either way.Checked against: ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification Examination Examinee Handbook, verified 7 August 2026
Always verify: fees, renewal rules and which certificate your jurisdiction accepts come from ServSafe and your local health authority, so confirm current details at servsafe.com and with your regulator before you book.
